I've been quite busy lately and haven't had a chance to work on a project for myself. To try something different and challenge myself. So that's what I did this week.

Toy Story is one of my favorite movies of all time. If you talk to my mom, she'll tell you how I watched it every day on VHS as a kid and can probably recite most of the movie!! I've wanted to make a little green men cake for a while now and had different ideas/variations. Even this final piece is not what I originally planned. I wanted the alien holding the pizza with 1 hand. But my placement of structure rods wasn't right, and considering I finished the cake in 1 day, I'd say it's not too bad!
So, instead, he is balancing a fat pizza 😂 on top of his antenna. It's still cute IMO.

Customer's granddaughter wanted a "Demon Slayer" themed birthday cake. But parents and grandparents didn't want the cake to say demon slayer. So we opted for this alternative with the birthday girls name in the same font style via printed edible image.

There once was a time when I would take orders through these outlets. But for many reasons that has changed.

1️⃣ It can become too many outlets to check and keep count of. I am already busy as it is without adding 10 different platforms to place an order.
2️⃣ There is so much spam on social media it is not even funny! By requesting for potential customers to complete my order form, it helps eliminate the spam messages that I would have to deal with.
3️⃣ I am running a business. Customers who text orders are more likely to feel comfortable texting at all hours of the night to request changes (TRUE STORY). Nothing sent at 11pm will be addressed at that time so please just put it in an email and it will be addressed in order received.
4️⃣ Lastly, by keeping everything via email/order form. Both myself and the client are protected as we have everything in writing and agreed upon. We can always go back and verify whatever is needed!

Some people might say that I am losing customers by not accommodating DMs or texts. Well, not everyone is your customer and that is fine by me. I would rather be an organized business than a busy fool.

Growing up I use to love playing Sonic with my older brother, from the classic games to Sonic Adventure to Robotniks mean bean machine!
